iRenew
iRenew is a bracelet that rather looks ordinary except for the fact that it claims to “return balance” into your life by allowing you to connect your energy to your environment’s energy, therefore giving you “balance” in your biofield. What is exactly is a biofield? I have never heard of it before the iRenew infomercial, apparently my computer hasn’t as well; it keeps underlining it with a nice red crooked line.
According to the iRenew infomercial, all of us have a biofield, it is part of our whole being and it has the ability to connect and work together with a person’s surrounding’s electromagnetic radiation. The biofield holds your inner strength. If you’re not tuned in to your biofield that is when you feel, and I quote, “off or unbalanced”. Ideally, a person’s balance should be in the center of the biofield, sadly though, this is not always the case. iRenew says it has the power to re-center a person’s balance through the use of biofield technology.
What I think about iRenew
I myself am not a very open-minded person when it comes to matters of health and science. I am mostly a by the “Science book” kind of person. I don’t readily welcome radical ideas and let me say that I am the kind of person that doesn’t believe in mole meanings, hand shapes, finger lengths or whatever. Simply put, I’m more than just your average realist, I am a stereotypical square, at least that’s what my children call me when they think I couldn’t hear them. I follow a traditional healthy lifestyle by eating three square meals consisting of all three basic food groups a day, I run 3-4 miles every day and I believe in getting regular medical check-ups. So for me to hear about this “biofield” business causing people to feel “off or unbalanced” for the first time in my 53 years, I was of course highly sceptical.
A load of old tosh I told my wife who was perhaps my complete antithesis when it comes to health and Science. While I was the all-American war veteran of the 70s, my wife was the flower power hippie. You see, she believes in this entire holistic medicine thing. She has convinced me to take a minute for myself every day, she says it allows me to reflect and de-stress; she has taken me to have acupuncture and fire cupping and a whole lot of alternative treatments to supplement my already healthy lifestyle. And though I hate having to admit that those un-scientific therapies worked to make me feel good, I must say that they did, at least most of them did. I cannot say the one-day all fruit and water diet did anything other than make me cranky from lack of real food.
Even though my wife has proven to me that there is nothing to lose just by trying out these therapies, my initial reaction to her hippie-ish approach to health will always be negative. Imagine my reaction to her suggestion that the iRenew, which is a bracelet, a bracelet for crying out loud, can help me harness my inner strength. I really thought she really was out of her mind for believing something as outlandish as that. Knowing that I would refuse this new piece of holistic gimmick, she took it upon herself to purchase each member of the family their own iRenew bracelet. Stubborn man that I am I refused to let her put it on me. I know I have nothing to lose by just putting it on but that’s me, stubborn as mule.
For days I had to hear about this wonderful new bracelet that made them feel great and more alive. Whether they were doing it to annoy me or just to get me to try it on, I don’t know, but it got me searching the net for the meaning of biofield.
Re-centering my Biofield
Sure enough, biofield was some sort of spiritual mumbo-jumbo, auras as some would call it. I don’t believe in auras any more than I believe in unicorns. It talks all about magnetic fields and the iRenew’s technology interfering with negative auras so as to align mine. So to prove to my wife that this time around, she has been scammed by some clever marketing strategy, I wore the bracelet to show her it doesn’t work. Boy was I going to eat my words!
Now this didn’t work for me as soon as 20 minutes like it did for some people. Perhaps it was because of my reluctance, my wife told me that my negativity can interfere with the iRenew or it could make its job more difficult. Call me a fool but I seriously felt more focused at work the first day I wore the iRenew. I didn’t admit it to my wife of course, but I did say I liked how it looked so I was going to keep wearing it for a while. That night I actually slept better and I fell asleep sooner, it usually took me a good half hour to an hour of reading before I got sleepy enough to close my eyes. The following day, waking up was easier too. I did not feel groggy and I didn’t have that usual feeling of wanting to catch a few more minutes of sleep before finally deciding on getting up. I simply got out of bed as if it was the day of a long anticipated vacation.
I don’t even think this is some kind of placebo effect as I didn’t believe in the iRenew to begin with. I have no explanations as to how it actually works, but I really do feel stronger and more focused after the iRenew. It might probably be because it helps me sleep better, resulting in a more refreshed and recharged me, I really don’t know.
I have been wearing the iRenew for about a month now and I run longer distances and I know this is too much information, but it has helped my bowel movements become more regular too, it usually was just every other day for me.
Though I still don’t want to believe in auras, I dislike the term as it seems to me similar to unicorns or leprechauns, but the iRenew does work. There really must be something scientific going on, something real and quantifiable but of course I don’t know what it is. I cannot say this will work for everyone, because again, I don’t know how it has worked for me, but I guess it’s worth a try. It’s inexpensive and they have a money back guarantee so nothing to lose, right? I can’t believe I’m actually saying this. And I thought I was the last person to admit in believing the effectiveness of this little bracelet, but I have noticed a positive difference if the way I feel.
